Letter to Lovable Founders

Hi Anton, Fabian and the Lovable team,

My name is Lefteris Fandridis, and over the past month I've been building a project called playview.eu using Lovable.

I wanted to reach out because I believe Playview has become something much bigger than just another side project. It has evolved into what I believe is one of the most ambitious public applications built almost entirely with Lovable.

What makes this interesting isn't just the platform itself.

It's how it was built.

Almost everything you see has been created through natural-language conversations with Lovable, combined with architectural guidance from OpenAI's ChatGPT. Instead of writing every feature manually from scratch, I focused on product vision, UX decisions, architecture and iteration while Lovable handled the implementation.

In roughly less than one month (20 days actually), this approach allowed me to build a bilingual entertainment platform that includes:

• A complete editorial platform for Movies, TV Series and Games.
• Advanced Poster Detail experiences with multiple interactive tabs.
• A magazine-style review system (My View).
• Director's Notes with timeline updates.
• Reader Preferences with persistent personalization.
• A full media management system with galleries, videos and screenshots.
• Live Users Online presence with real-time activity.
• Notifications, favourites and update tracking.
• Hub Groups that connect multiple titles into long-form editorial experiences.
• Theme Song integration.
Trakt.tv synchronization.
• AI-assisted translation workflows.
• A growing admin CMS built entirely around content creation.

I've attached the latest 28-page platform documentation, which captures the current architecture, features and roadmap of Playview. It's the result of roughly twenty days of development and, I believe, a good demonstration of what can be achieved with Lovable.

For me, Playview has become much more than a personal project.

For over ten years, I kept notes, sketches and ideas for what I wanted to become a true 24/7 entertainment lifeblog.

That vision wasn't random. Before moving into eCommerce, I spent nearly twenty years as a games journalist, editor and publisher. Between 2000 and 2019, I helped build some of Greece's largest gaming publications, covered the industry firsthand, and attended major international events such as E3 in Los Angeles, the Tokyo Game Show, Gamescom, and many others. Playview is, in many ways, the project I've wanted to build ever since.

Every time I considered building it, I ran into the same problem: traditional web development.

The platform I had in mind would have required thousands of euros to build, months of coordination with developers, and constant supervision. Since I'm not a web developer myself, I always felt that I would be dependent on others to bring my vision to life.

On top of that, this isn't even my day job.

I'm an eCommerce Manager for one of Greece's largest baby & maternity retail companies, so finding the time to manage such an ambitious software project was simply unrealistic.

Everything changed on June 6th, when I attended the ECDM 2026 conference in Greece and discovered Lovable. That evening, I opened it for the first time with a simple question in mind:

"Can this finally build the product I've been imagining for the last decade?"

About twenty days later, the answer is live at playview.eu.

Twenty days. Not ten years. Twenty days.

For the first time in more than a decade, the limiting factor wasn't development—it was my imagination.

What started as an experiment has already evolved into a fully functional bilingual platform with a polished cinematic design, a custom CMS, real-time features, advanced editorial tools, AI-assisted workflows and integrations with multiple external services. Most importantly, it finally looks and behaves the way I had imagined all those years ago.

My goal isn't to build and sell the project.

My goal is to build something I'll still be improving five or even ten years from now.

For at least the first three years, I don't plan to fill it with banner advertising. My priority is to build a passionate community—first in Greece, but ultimately an international English-speaking audience as well.

That's why I genuinely believe Playview represents something bigger than just another website.

It represents what becomes possible when someone with a product vision—but without a traditional software development background—is finally given the right tools.

I genuinely believe it demonstrates what an experienced product founder can accomplish with Lovable in an incredibly short amount of time.

That's why I'm reaching out.

Rather than simply asking for credits, I'd love to explore whether Playview could become an official Lovable success story, showcase project or community partnership.

I think it could help demonstrate to future users what is actually possible when someone combines strong product thinking, UX design and AI-assisted development using Lovable.

At the moment, the only thing slowing development is credits.

If you believe Playview could provide value to Lovable as a showcase project, I'd love to receive around 400–500 development credits so I can continue building it over the coming months.

In return, I'd be more than happy to:

• Publicly share my experience building with Lovable.
• Provide detailed feedback on the platform.
• Demonstrate advanced AI-assisted development workflows.
• Participate in a customer success story or case study.
• Collaborate in any other way that could benefit the Lovable community.

I truly appreciate what you've built.

Lovable has fundamentally changed how I think about software development.

Playview exists because Lovable made it possible.

Thank you for your time, and regardless of the outcome, congratulations on building such an incredible product.

Kind regards,

Lefteris Fandridis
