The price of freedom
Braveheart · 1995 · 10/10/2026
When you hear the name Mel Gibson, Braveheart is one of the first films that comes to mind. The image of William Wallace, his face painted blue, raising his sword before an army ready to fight for its freedom, has become etched in cinematic history.
Braveheart is one of the great cinematic epics of the 1990s. Despite its significant historical inaccuracies, it remains an impressive production with powerful performances, outstanding battle scenes, magnificent music, and a story that connects personal sacrifice with a struggle greater than the hero himself. For me, it is one of those films I never get tired of watching again. And its ending still leaves me with the same feeling: what a shame that Wallace never got to see what he gave everything for.
