Dutton Ranch

I just finished the 5th episode, and yesterday I watched the 4th. The series is developing amazingly! Beth is the type of woman I loved in Yellowstone. Always with a plan, decisive, raw yet sweet in a way. Rip still doesn't hesitate to make the difficult decisions.

In the 4th episode, we see that their new endeavor at the ranch isn't going very well. Their herd gets infected by a contaminated bull they bought, and they are forced to kill them all! It doesn't show who was behind the sabotage, but okay, my mind goes to Beulah. Meanwhile, Carter finds love (haha) while working for a cattleman, Dwight, played by Ray McKinnon, whom I had seen in Sons of Anarchy and is always a crazy character! Unfortunately, in the... 5th episode, he "departs," a strange death, without explaining much, it will probably play a role later in Carter's maturation.

In the 5th episode, we see Rip getting a job as a foreman at Beulah, and perhaps predictably, Beth follows suit, also getting a job there as a design manager. Predictable, yes, but enjoyable as it happens. You won't see me trying to be clever here about why they do something like that directorially. If it works in the flow and looks good, I don't have the slightest problem! We're watching a series, for crying out loud, not a documentary! Towards the end of the episode, Rip tells Beth that they should be careful with this family; Rip, after all, had found the body on his ranch, so he knew very well why the other two were fighting.

Overall, both episodes were enjoyable, the locations, the sunrise, everything is magical! I can't wait for the next ones!
