Season 4 premieres on August 12, 2026 and is based on Lee Child's 13th book, Gone Tomorrow. It will consist of 8 episodes, with the first three released on premiere day and the rest following weekly.

Synopsis

It all starts with a seemingly random incident on the New York subway. Reacher observes a woman behaving strangely and, a few minutes later, a tragic event leads him into a case much bigger than he imagined.

He very quickly finds himself entangled in a dangerous conspiracy involving state secrets, powerful people, and dark interests, while each new answer raises even more questions.

New additions to the cast

Among the new additions to the cast, the standouts are Marc Blucas (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Kathleen Robertson (Beverly Hills 90210 - Claire, my love, where have you been all this time! I need to do a special analysis on Beverly Hills soon!) and Kevin Corrigan (The Departed), three actors with extensive experience in television and film who are expected to play a significant role in the new story.

What I personally expect

From what we've seen in the trailer and know so far, season 4 seems to return more to the philosophy of the first season.Less emphasis on team action, more mystery, a more intense atmosphere, and a Reacher who once again relies on his instinct, observation, and experience.

Personally, I believe this approach suits the character better. If the series manages to balance strong mystery with the familiar, hard-hitting action that established it, then all the conditions are in place for season 4 to become one of the best in the series to date.
