John Mueller

The Senior Art Director for Diablo IV at Blizzard Entertainment. Having joined the company in January 2016, he has spearheaded the visual direction of the game, its subsequent seasonal updates, and expansions like Vessel of Hatred. Shifting away from the high-fantasy saturation of Diablo III, Mueller aligned the game with the dark, gritty, and gothic roots of the early franchise. The creative pillar established during pre-production focused on making the game feel like a living, traditional piece of academic art.
