Laurens Ehrmann is a French visual effects supervisor and the founder of VFX studio The Yard VFX. Beginning his career in digital animation on feature films like Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins (2005), he established The Yard in 2014 to deliver visual effects for major film and television projects. He served as visual effects supervisor on Amazon's fantasy drama series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022, directed by Charlotte Brändström) and won a César Award for Best Visual Effects for Jean-Jacques Annaud's Notre-Dame on Fire (2022). His visual effects portfolio also includes James Mangold's Ford v Ferrari (2019) and Chloé Zhao's drama Nomadland (2020).
