Backstage
- While filming a movie in Spain, a woman was stalking him at his apartment for several weeks. As he felt bored at the time, he took her out for dinner, where he, in his own words, "just complained about everything" in his life. After that, she never returned.
- Was taught how to scuba dive for his role in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005).
- Pattinson began taking piano lessons at age four and classical guitar at five. He was in a band called Bad Girls, then played solo acoustic guitar gigs in pubs and bars around London, singing songs he had written himself.
- Was expelled from school at age 12 for stealing explicit magazines and selling them later to his classmates.
- Learned to drive, in a ten-hour crash course, on the set of Twilight (2008).
- He didn't know he'd been cut out of Vanity Fair (2004) until he attended the premiere. The casting director felt so guilty that she got him the audition for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005).
- His role in Good Time (2017) was written specifically for him after sending a spontaneous email to the Safdie Brothers (directors) without knowing them and seeing only a movie still on the internet from their previous film Heaven Knows What (2014). He was so intrigued by the energy of the photograph, that he had a strong desire to be part of their next project. After meeting up, liking him and being inspired by his enthusiastic energy, the directors started to write the script.
